After
the village of Galanado you will see the Venetian mansion of the Nobleman
Bellonias.

In the middle of the sixties it has been found out that this valley,
with its sandy ground, is an ideal place to cultivate potatoes. Next
to the building there is the Church of St. John in the yard, which
on the right is Orthodox and on the left Catholic (the twin).
From this point there is a view over the Livadi plain, the villages
of Glinado and Tripodes with its mills, and the landscape as far as
Naxos Town and the coast at Agios Georgios, Agios Prokopios, Agia Ana
and
Plaka.
