The traditional Kitron (Citron) distillery "Vallindras" is located in the middle of the village of Chalki.













Kitron is a kind of lemon liqueur except for the fruit is much bigger, like an orange and it is made from the leaves, keeping much more flavor than the fruit does.

In 1896 Markos G. Vallindras founded the first distillery producing Kitron.

The equipment is 130 years old and the ingredients of the Kitron haven't changed for 100 years now, without chemical additions.

Vallindras Naxos Kitron has been granted prestigious distinctions from international food and beverage exhibitions since it first appeared on the market. With the passing of time the management of the enterprise has been renewing and upgrading the products image on the market while keeping it's traditional composure.
