Agios George is the capital’s beach.

It is one of the most popular Naxos beaches, because is so close to the town.

It is a long full organised sandy beach offering sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities.

The beach area close to the town is quite busy but if you walk 5 minutes in the south direction, the beach is much more quiet.






If you continue your walk you will find after the sportclub "Flisvos" a lagoon where it's good spot to learn windsurfing.

Agios George is a famous windsurfing spot with a couple of clubs proposing rentals.




The beach is lined by several cafes and restaurants.

It's a perfect beach for families with young children due to its low depth.
